PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

Three to five years after graduation, the BEEd/BSEd graduates are expected to:

  1. Demonstrate professional expertise and professionalism in dealing with students with different learning needs from various socio-cultural and political backgrounds;
  2. Show deep knowledge of content, pedagogy, educational technology, curriculum and assessment design, instructional materials development, approaches and teacher ethical consideration; and
  3. Engage in continuing professional education and trainings.

STUDENT OUTCOMES

Upon graduation, the BEEd/BSEd students should be able to:

  1. Effectively communicate in English and Filipino both orally and writing;
  2. Work effectively and collaboratively with a substantial degree of independence in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams;
  3. Articulate the relationship of education to large historical, social, cultural, and political processes;
  4. Facilitate learning using wide range of teaching methodologies and delivery modes appropriate to specific learners and their environments;
  5. Develop innovative curricula, instructional plans, teaching approaches and resources for diverse learners;
  6. Apply skills in the development and utilization of ICT to promote quality, relevant, and sustainable educational practices;
  7. Demonstrate a variety of thinking skills in planning, monitoring, assessing and reporting learning processes and outcomes;
  8. Practice professional and ethical teaching standards sensitive to the local, national and global realities; and
  9. Pursue lifelong learning for personal and professional growth through varied experimental and field-based opportunities.
